Summary
Match Race France is back on the World Match Racing Tour calendar for the second year. In 2008 it featured as one of the qualifier events for the WMRT before stepping up to full Tour event status. Racing will be held on the bay of Marseille in identically matched J80 boats.

Sailing is a major sport in Marseille. The winds can blow from different directions and allows for interesting racing in the waters of the Mediterranean. The venue lends itself to sailing as the consistent winds provide perfect conditions for our sport.

Marseille is a beautiful and historic city situated on the south coast of France. It is the French sailing hub of the region and a gateway to the Mediterranean. Its cosmopolitan make up is reflected by the diverse population that inhabit this famous city.
