Portimão, Portugal – 25 June, 2010 – Portimão will come to life later today in a sporting context as Portugal is set to play Brazil in the 2010 FIFA World Cup at 15:00 GMT. This is the last match for Portugal in their group where they are currently sitting in 2nd place.
Football insiders have predicted a win by Brazil but Portugal has been playing in good form so far out in South Africa and are still able to make stage 2.
Alvaro Marinho (POR) Seth Sailing Team is actually hoping for a draw in this afternoon’s game, “I don’t think that either team wants to win, because otherwise they will have to play Spain in the next stage and they are a strong team. So I think I will go with a draw, we’ll see”.
Marinho has represented Portugal at three Olympics and is a great ambassador for this sporting nation. His Seth Sailing Team is still battling in the Round Robin stage of Portimão Portugal Match Cup. Hopefully Marinho will have a race break coming up soon so he and his team can join in the action along the marina front with crowds flowing out of the charming local bars where everyone will be cheering their fellow countrymen on the pitch.
