Marstrand, Sweden – 11 July, 2010 The Women's Celebrations at Stena Match Cup Sweden © Loris von Siebenthal-myimage– Stena Match Cup Sweden, Stage 5 of the World Match Racing Tour is gearing up for the final prize giving this afternoon.

The ceremony will take place on the ‘Oscar’s stage’.  The crowds will gather to see the top four teams climb those auspicious podium stairs in the footsteps of so many match race masters to be crowned the overall winner as ‘Maestro of Marstrand’.

Built overlooking the central social grassy knoll the podium is perfectly placed for maximum public viewing potential.  With the final just announced as Ben Ainslie (GBR) TEAMORIGIN versus Jesper Radich (DEN) Radich Racing Team all eyes will rest firmly on the action for the last afternoon of racing which marks the end of the halfway point for the 2010 Tour.

Champagne corks will fly as the sailors receive the stunning Stena Match Cup Trophy and their share of the 100,000USD prize pool allocated for Stage 5 of this year’s Tour.  Unfortunately for Sweden, local hero Magnus Holmberg (SWE) Sigma Racing Team was knocked out of the competition this morning in the semi finals by Radich however, Magnus still has a shot at a podium position through racing the petit final.  Once again the Swede has not reached Stena Match Cup Sweden’s final.

The ISAF Word Match Racing Tour will also be presenting an award to Marstrand for their branding efforts during last year’s event.  Stena Match Cup Sweden will be presented the ‘ISAF World Match Racing Tour Best Branding Award’ to highlight their commitment to on site event branding during the 2009 Tour event.
