Marstrand, Sweden – 8 July, 2010 – Stena Match Cup Sweden turns its eye to the business world today shifting into commercial mode with the ‘Corporate Event Marketing Forum’. The industry event runs as two sessions looking firstly at organizers of top sporting events and secondly the spotlight goes to Stena Match Cup Sweden’s sponsors, finishing with a group panel discussion.
Stage 5 of the World Match Racing Tour takes a hands on approach to hosting their key sponsors with daily interaction via a range of scheduled activities. For the event organizer contingent the conversation will centre around their thoughts on the 2010 edition of the Swedish Tour Stage, what the important elements of match racing style events are and how to make this particular event as high quality as possible.
For the sponsors, vital in the ongoing success of the ISAF World Match Racing Tour, the brainstorm will involve what they personally expect to get out of their involvement with Stena Match Cup Sweden and their aims for return on investment through this specific sports activity.
Irene Bernald, Marketing Manager of Audi will be on site as well as this event’s new title sponsor, Stena. Ulf Ryder, CEO, Stena Bulk in attendance at the business forum today commented, "Sailing is very close to our heart, it has to do with wind, sun and water. Being a ship owner with tankers and passenger ferries involves all sorts of ships around the world, it's clean and thrilling, a lovely sport". This is a particularly busy week for Mr Ryder and his team with 4-500 clients coming to join them in Marstrand over the week.
Leif Nilsson, CEO, VD Göteborg, will provide a stimulating Swedish addition to the debate as he is one of the top instigators in developing the municipality into an event orientated city. Nilsson will be discussing the importance of designing the infrastructure to suit big sporting events which the World Match Racing Tour is fast developing into.
