London (6 November 2013) – Starting this month, the full schedule of highlights programmes from the 2013 Alpari World Match Racing Tour will be available on a dedicated channel on ice Digital Widescreen, available on a number of aircraft, with global airline Emirates.
The programmes feature all the action from the 2013 Alpari Tour events in Germany, Korea, Sweden, Chicago, Bermuda and Malaysia. A select number of the programmes will be available at any time via the on-demand system onboard every Emirates A380 aircraft until May 2014.
“This is fantastic exposure for the Alpari World Match Racing Tour’ commented Tour CEO James Pleasance. “Emirates is a world class airline and now fans of the Tour and sailing will be able to watch the shows from the comfort of their seats in the skies.”
Emirates is an award-winning airline connecting to 137 destinations in 77 countries. The airline operates more than 1,400 flights per week across six continents and is the largest operator of A380 aircraft with 38 in the air and 52 still to be delivered. In 2011-2012, the airline carried 39million passengers, an increase of 16 percent on the previous year.
The distribution of the Tour programmes with Emirates complements an advertising campaign by the Tour’s title sponsor – leading global forex broker Alpari - that also operate in many of the key markets served by Emirates.
Chantelle Johnson, Global Head of Marketing Alpari (UK) Limited commented, “Having worked with the airline since 2011, our longstanding relationship with Emirates is one we value highly. We are therefore delighted that this partnership has been extended to include the Alpari World Match Racing Tour and Emirates customers worldwide are able to enjoy the thrills of match racing inflight.”
The season finale of the 2013 Alpari World Match Racing Tour will take place at the Monsoon Cup in Malaysia from 25-30 November.
