London, UK – 18 October, 2012: The overall standings on the Alpari World Match Racing Tour (AWMRT) have been updated following the conclusion of the Argo Group Gold Cup in Bermuda last week, Stage 7 of the 2012 season. Average points from the cancelled Portimao Portugal Match Cup in July have also been factored in to the standings.
The 9 Tour Card skippers count the best four results from their five allocated events towards their Championship total, alongside the result from the final event, the Monsoon Cup - which will take place from 3-8 December.
Each Tour Card Holder who was allocated an invitation to the Portimäo Portugal Match Cup has received an average points score for the event based on their other 4 allocated regattas. If the average was one of their 4 best results this season, then it has now counted towards their Championship total.
This year the top eight teams in the Tour standings will receive an invitation to the Monsoon Cup for which the full line-up of competing teams will be released shortly.
